As we continually strive to develop and improve the Givelify mobile giving app, Team Givelify welcomes our new Mobile Software Engineer Lorenzo Brown. Lorenzo will be working on continued development of the Givelify app, focusing primarily on the iOS (iPhone) version.
Lorenzo earned a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from M.I.T., and spent several years as an instructor and Director of Curriculum for the M.I.T.- affiliated Middle East Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow. The MEET program teaches computer science, entrepreneurial skills, and leadership development to Israeli and Palestinian youth in the Gaza Strip.
Lorenzo is not only highly experienced in various aspects of computer science and web development, but he’s a seasoned world traveler. He has held positions in Mountain View and San Francisco, California, Jerusalem, Palestine, and Mexico City. As a result, he is fluent in five languages: English, Arabic, Hebrew, Portuguese, and Spanish. He is a Dallas native who finally listened to his parents and came back home.
He has a passion for teaching, tutoring, and all things nerdy, and now that he’s returned to Dallas he’s currently looking for places to get involved in his local community.
