The Four-Part Recipe for Great Mobile Giving

Your organization has officially signed up to accept mobile donations using the Givelify app. How can you make sure your donors get on board? Follow these steps to get the most out of mobile giving.

Show Our Demo Video

If your donors aren’t aware that they can give to your organization using their phones, they definitely won’t make use of the technology. So the first step in getting your supporters on board with Givelify is to tell them about it.

By sharing our 90 second video demonstration to your supporters, you can inform them that you have a mobile giving option and also teach them how to use it. Both parts are critical to get your donors to use the app regularly going forward.

Spread the Word About Givelify

The demo video is not the only thing you can use to tell your supporters about Givelify. To really get the word out, put all of your current communication tools to good use.

Announce the new mobile giving option on all of your social media accounts. If you send out regular newsletters or e-mail updates, include information about Givelify. Put details and educational instructions on your website.

Any way you currently use to communicate with your donors is a great method for informing them about mobile giving.

Customize Your Mobile Giving App

Next, you need to make sure that donors can easily locate your profile in the app. To do this, upload images to your account using the Givelify dashboard. Include your logo and a cover photo so that your supporters will recognize that they have arrived on the right page.

You can also fill out your “About” section with a description of your organization and the work you are doing.

Create Fundraising Envelopes

Another way to get your donors excited about giving is to allow them to choose where their money goes. Using Givelify, this is a snap. In the dashboard, simply create custom fundraising envelopes for any work you are currently doing.

Then, when your supporters use the mobile giving app to make a donation, they will be able to select the envelope to which they want to give.
